I am writing to express my strong interest in the Field Researcher position announced by ATR Consulting under Reference Number ATR-FR-2026-01. With extensive field experience in survey implementation, data collection, third-party monitoring, post-distribution monitoring, field supervision, community engagement, stakeholder coordination, and reporting, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to ATR Consulting’s research and data collection activities across Afghanistan.
Throughout my professional career, I have worked with several organizations, including AHS, Particip GmbH, HPRO, MALAN Idel, ADAA, and ARSDO, in roles related to field operations, monitoring, community mobilization, and stakeholder engagement. These experiences have strengthened my ability to conduct field activities professionally, communicate effectively with respondents, follow established procedures, verify information, and deliver accurate and timely reports.
During my work with AHS as a Provincial Supervisor, I gained experience in field coordination and supervision across Zabul and Kandahar provinces, including district-level activities and provincial centers. My work with Particip GmbH involved survey and field research activities in Zabul and Kandahar, where I developed practical experience in engaging with respondents, collecting information, and supporting reliable field data collection processes.
My experience with HPRO as a Provincial Post Monitor in Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) further strengthened my capacity in field verification, post-monitoring activities, data quality assurance, monitoring and reporting across Zabul, Helmand, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Nimroz, and Herat provinces. Working across these locations enhanced my ability to adapt to different field environments, coordinate with local stakeholders, identify field challenges, and maintain professional standards while carrying out assigned responsibilities.
In addition, my experience with MALAN Idel and ADAA has contributed to my broader understanding of field monitoring, provincial-level coordination, assessments, and community engagement. Through my work with ARSDO as a Community Mobilizer in Zabul, I have also developed practical experience in community communication, stakeholder engagement, mobilization, and supporting project activities at the community level.
I am familiar with field research approaches and activities such as household surveys, key informant interviews (KII), focus group discussions (FGDs), beneficiary interviews, field assessments, and monitoring activities. I also have experience with mobile-based data collection tools, including ODK and Kobo, as well as field documentation and reporting. I understand the importance of following approved sampling plans, obtaining informed consent, maintaining neutrality, verifying collected information, protecting respondents’ confidentiality, and complying with organizational policies and research protocols.
My professional strengths include effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and the ability to work under challenging field conditions. My familiarity with local communities and field environments across several provinces of Afghanistan enables me to communicate respectfully with respondents and stakeholders and carry out assigned activities in a culturally appropriate and professional manner. I am also prepared to travel to assigned locations, including remote and hard-to-reach areas, according to project requirements.
I am particularly interested in joining ATR Consulting because of its commitment to evidence-based research, assessments, monitoring and evaluation, and development initiatives in Afghanistan. I believe my combined experience in surveys, monitoring, field supervision, community engagement, and data collection would enable me to make a meaningful contribution to the quality, accuracy, and reliability of ATR’s research outputs.
